gelatine instead of agar?

is there any reason you cant use gelatin in the place of agar?
agar is so damn expensive! and you still have to add nutrients and stuff to it after you've paid all your good money for it

it just feels like im getting ripped off paying $20 for a gelling agent

Should work. try a mix of it and milo for extra nutrients

I found agar-agar at an asian market $8.50 enough to do 4 1liter batches you'll have to use a coffee grinder to grind it up though

Look in the phone book under grocery i'm sure you'll find one
I got light malt and dextrose at a brewers supply store
The yeast i got at a health food store(cheaper than the brewer supply)
I'm gonna make PDY&MEA
I heard you could get it at health food store but none i called had it.
