Should I mist with h202/water or just normal water?

For humidification - h202 solution or just normal water? I'm afraid I might kill my cakes if I spray them with h202 :sad:

use diluted h202. mix 2 parts h202 with 8 parts water. wont hurt the cakes

h202 wont kill your cakes at all, and in some sense h202 wil lbreak down to o2 which is oxygen which is what your mushies need

H2o2 is detrimental to mushroom growth. However, it also breaks down fairly quickly. Create a mixture of h2o2 and water and let it sit for 24 hours. The h2o2 will do its job and then break down to a mixture of water (h2o) and oxygen (o2). Really, your best option IMO is to use distilled water. Very cheap at most grocery stores.

I wouldn't use it at all since it is not needed and does hurt cube mycelium just like it hurts cob web mycelium.

Thanks for the responses guys.
However it seems like a good thing to do in my mind would be to just simmer a huge pot of water for an hour or so to kill everything, and just take water from that when I need it?

Feasible?

I really don't see the point as tap water is perfectly fine unless you live in ghetto 3rd world countries.after about an hour in a mister it turns into oxygen and water soo i really don't see the benefit.

ive sprayed straight h202 from the bottle onto a cased bulk sub to take care of cob and never had any problems with it

i have used h202 to kill some trich, but if the trich turns green, then it won't help even if it's pur h202. I am thinking about using bleach in a small dropper or such to treach trich, I figure it's worth perhaps losing a good bit of your cake than all of it.
