dude, its probably a stress on the cakes. more blue than purple? dont worry about it for now but i suggest you DO NOT birth until you see at least a couple of little dark mush heads. they look like little brown bb's.

Thanks! yes the color is sorta blue grey. but in sunlight you can barely see it. Some of the jars are starting to show those little BB heads.

i think you should birth the cakes now. any stress on the cakes means it is time to birth. plus, you say you have little fruiting. also, where ever the cake is bruised/stressed a mushroom will not grow. your best bet is to birth now so you get maximum growth out of your cakes. you could wait a day. it probably wont matter if you fruit now or tomorrow.
