When you are ready to make the print, take a mushroom cap, open the jar, push the wire through the center of the cap, and bend it so that the cap cannot slid off. Close the lid and leave for a day or so.

Alternate methods involve using a wire mesh for the cap to sit on rather than hanging from the lid.

You can also print the cap in the bottom of the jar without water. The sealed jar can be stored longer than if it were a solution. Simply add water and scrape the print from the bottom of the jar.
