B+ definitely!!! It's a wonderful strain to start off with!!! I just now started Cambodia on agar and look forward to it. I hear it is much faster and just as easy too!

Both PF and B+ are easy beginner strains, although most of the cubinsis qualify.

You can use birdseed as a direct replacement for rice, or you can boil it and add it whole.

Another alternative is to use about a 1:1 or 2:1 mixture of birdseed to whole rice. Put it in a pan and cover it with water, boil until the water absorbs (it will absorb all the water and won't get very sticky). This mix seems to work pretty well with B+. The birdseed I was using had sunflowers in it. If you are pressure cooking they are not a problem.

I was looking at a pic of the b+ strain and it only had one BIG shroom on it. I know it groes big, but does it only grow one shroom per 1/2 pint cake?

If not how many on average, and is it good and potent.

When I first started I was using the PF strain with so-so results. Then I got some EQ's form Spore Chicks and had excellent results. I found the EQ variety easy to grow and fruit as well as being pretty potent. I have recently ordered some Cambodians from Ryche and hear that they are very easy to grow. You might want to try them :smile:

I agree with MoMo, the EQ strain from Sporechicks is a great fruiter, great mushroom and easy as ever.

no, the B+ grows more than one specimen per one cake. right now I have a cake fruiting 10-12 mushrooms (first flush). Go witht he B+, its alot of fun to grow.
