You have cob web mold dude use h2o2 (hydrogen proxide) to combat it. check out thehawkseye.com

If it is cobweb mold, hydrogen peroxide won't work, because that means the mycelium isn't growing. All I see is this white stuff, so if it's mycelium then that's great, but if it's mold, there is no hope.

well, hold on therem I'm no expert, by a long shot, but maybe you're just not recognising the mycelium. Just see if it will fruit, unless you are worried about spreading to other cakes. Checks ryche hawks site for an Excelent descirption and pictures of spider mold, or what ever it is.
