Well it's hard to say. If they are dry the colonization will be slow and the mycelium around the edges will be dry. If they are wet you should be able to see water in the bottom. If they are dry put them all in a cooler or something, loosen the lids and spray the cooler with a plant mister. If they are wet, crack open the lids and also, best to use a cooler to limit contamination.

Thanks for the reply. Well I guess they must be doing fine, grwth has been steady, most jars are nearly done. No water on the bottom, the mycelium does not look dry, but at the edges it seems more fibrous? Anyway, the lids are loose now that I'm not so worried about contaminants, and I think some air exchange will be good?
