They Worked! How do you like that Coon?

If you remember this thread: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/7165893/an/0/page/0
I'm here to report that they worked very nicely I had to dry them (kids around, can't keep them in fridge) I made tea from 7 dry grams, drank some and waited a half hour to make sure I didn't die or get paralyzed or something, split the rest with my wife. Waited an hour, started to feel nice, dosed again, tea from another 5 dry grams between us, waited an hour, smoked a few hits, altogether about 5.5 grams each, and the rest of the night was beautiful. No nervousness on the way up. Great body high, goes great with music, but not too much visuals though. Nevertheless, highly recommended!

Sounds like what you felt came from those "couple a hits", not the mushrooms. Wise man say don't mix drugs when testing effects for first time.

Well, I didn't smoke up until about two hours after dosing. I was already experiencing the subbs, but the two together were a very good mixture

I'm happy for you. I know you had subbs, and 5.5 dry grams is a nice dose. glad you had a good time.

Its probably that other species that grows on lawns, contains psilocybin, and has smaller caps and thinner stems than Panaeolus subbalteatus.
Most people call it Panaeolus subbalteatus, but the serious splitters know better.

What other species grows on lawns, contains psilocybe and is in the panaeoloideae group?
You think he has casters?
Or that Unknown Florida species Greatone found?
Explain the other possibilities It could be.
Cuz im finding a lot of species then. lol

> What other species grows on lawns, contains psilocybe and is in the panaeoloideae group?
Go to books.google.com and search for panaeolus subbalteatus. The first hit is the Mushrooms Demystified link, read that, especially the comments section at the bottom of the page.
> You think he has casters? > Or that Unknown Florida species Greatone found?
I think it is in the Panaeolus subbalteatus species cluster.
I do notice that the subbs on hay look quite a bit different than lawn ones, and I suspect its more than just substrate, probably a different part of the species cluster. Or we could call them strains, causing lots of confusion among cube growers.
> Explain the other possibilities It could be. > Cuz im finding a lot of species then. lol
If the splitter is serious enough, almost every different patch of mushrooms is a new species. Those people are generally pretty annoying.

Still Pan. Subbs. in my book.
They just have such a broad morphology to them.
If I pick em off a lawn and they print black, they will be subbs.

i have often found pans that i couldn't distinguish between Pan. subbalteatus and Pan. castaneifolius that proved to be active.
for the record fixer, the next time you want to try mushrooms yourself before you have determined thier edibility and think to share them with somebody else, wait 3 weeks, not 30 min.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

Is that how long it would take for me to die? Anyway, even Coon admitted that they were subbs, even though he doesn't believe in them, generally. I was just being cautious.

i think in some cases (or most I dunno?) it might take that long to die from some mushrooms- a slow liver failure, etc.

If you eat a galerina or other dangerous mushroom it can take 2-3 weeks fro your organs to fail.
