What is a good cheap way to maintain heat at desired levels for colonizing and fruiting?

For incubation:

For fruiting normal room temperature is good enough.

If you can't afford an aquarium heater, but a heating pad. They're not as good because they suck the moisture from everything around them, but will do in most situations. Also, I've placed my incubator next to a heater before and thats worked fine for the time being.
Good luck.

Aquarium heaters aren't really expensive. I got mine on ebay for for $10.60 (100W). You can get a 50 watt heater for around $10.00 at Wal-mart.
