current cacti
    #7250605 - 08/02/07 10:32 AM (13 years, 6 months ago)

basically the retarded droopy ones are p tortches that were kept indoors a couple years.
the big one is a san pedro obviously. its put on 4" this summer already. Ive been fertilizing with some liquid cactus fert weekly for all cacti.
the leafy looking ones are perekopsis used for grafting stock. i have about 100 p.tortch seeds i exchanged for about 10 cuttings from the pere's. So hopefully soon i get around to planting the seeds so i can graft them.

i would cut those torch's use the base for pup stock and root the tips.

also for any newer people this is what happens when you dont give a cacti enough light or set it next to a window (not enough sun)

that is why i let my cacti sleep in the winter because i want to keep them nice and thick.

is it worth grafting the bigger tops of the tortches onto some of the fat perkips?

being as the diameter of the trich is much bigger then the pereskiopsis, i think it would be quite difficult to secure the scion... its possible, but aerole grafting might be easier.
