Evil Bacterial Problems

Ok. My friend has been having anerobic bacteria problems for some time now. She recently switched back to birdseed and pcing which has proved very successfull in the past. On quart jars with birdseed and verm things were going smoothly then all of the sudden they started smelling like the nasty shit again. Lids were removed and micron filters were left on. The myc, which had stalled, is now in full flush again. Is it ok to try to fruit this? It seems like it is taking over the bacteria. She is just not sure if it will work or the fruits thereof will be edible. Your comments are appreciated.

Is she using a different bird seed? I believe that some different brands or grains are better then others contam wise. I don't know personally but I remember reading this in regards to rye ....that your source of the rye berries could be the problem. I think it applied to bird seed too. Just a thought.

Penningtons is the brand. It's been used before. the main question is can the jars that have seemingly recouped be used to fruit?

If you're having bacterial problems, do not eat anything that came off that cake/casing. Is it really worth getting sick just to get high? You can always grow more. Now, if you just want to grow it out to see what happens, then by all means do so. Just don't eat any of the fruits. -Bruiser
