True, but there is intensity AND focus. There is NO wavering.

'Secret' believer: Hmmm, I think I will manifest a Ferrari. No, too common. A Lambo - that's it! Naw, all the rap stars have one. Perhaps a Bugatti Veyron in red. Yeah, that's the ticket. Naw, better make it blue...

I'm afraid we can't know this. Humans are complex and all of our conflicts are carried around with us. Some say they want to live out of fear but in there boring day to day may often say "what's the point of all this being alive". We are conflicted creatures. Remember there were some that lived too. Who the fuck knows the dynamics here. They seem to be truly complex. Yet we do find from experience that our attitude may influence the course of things at times. (Remember Norman Cousins). In my experience it seems to be tied into are relaxed, calm, focus, without negative attachment to getting what you want. Or something like that.

Not one that jumped or stayed above a certain floor level. Guess all of them wanted to be extra crispy or splattered - a dream come true.

Robert Anton Wilson recommended a exercise of looking for a quarter in the street and then seeing how long it took to find one. Then doing it a second time.

I think this demonstrates how the law of attraction works. Now if you are not paying attention and not looking you will bypass quarters that are there. If you pay attention and then find them, all of a sudden there seems to be quarters where there were none before. So it's not that the law of attraction creates things that were not there, it's that by focusing on what one wants they are much more likely to find it.

I wanted to find a Ferrari with the keys in it, so I went down to the Mandalay Bay valet parking lot. Lo and behold...

It's not the Law's fault, it is yours. Your intentions were not pure, and thus your results were tainted.

That seems to be my luck. I am looking for a $200,000 a year job, but all I keep getting offered are a bunch of sorry $195,000 a year jobs.

I wanted it to rain so I could go pan subb hunting...and it did! Friday night brought rains of blessing to my area here. They can spring up overnight after a good rain but they will wait a few days too. If the smart deer, which have been spotted in these parts, don't get 'em first!

Now, my car died recently and I can't get back to that neighbourhood to look but I won't give up hope. I WILL get a car. I WILL find active mushrooms. I WILL trip a sweet trip with my sweetie. It takes time to dry them. To rinse and cook 'em up is a matter of less than an hour. Patience....when I learn to have it I won't be tested in it so much.

A '99 minivan is what I picture. lol Practical Mum that I am.

Is my being proactive in positive thinking enough?
Am I capable of bringing what I need to me?
I 1st need to know what it is that I need. I feel that I should differentiate between needs and wants while the Secret seemed to equate the two which made me feel uncomfortable.

Question: How often do you devote to being completely introspective? Daily? Do you let it happen spontaneously when it feels right without schedule? Do you wait till you have an appointment with a mental health professional if you see one? Do you schedule daily meditation or personal planning time to get your life in order among the chaos?
There's no place like OHM,

Food for thought....burp. I need a mental alka seltzer..I may have just over-thought!

suave i would like to hear more about your ideas if you would like to share them.

i know it works because i've won small lottery tickets and a jackpot and got a cat using more or less certain principles but at the same time i don't know what to do with it because it feels like banging your head against the wall to get cookies to fall off a shelf instead of waiting for mommy to give them to you when the time is right

i.e. being with tao. :yinyang:
i.e. so says Jesus, why pray, doesn't father already know what we pray before we ask ? Then we pray like this.... 'Our father who art...'

Om Namah Shivaya, I tell you What!
