I use one as do many people here.

If you have the money to invest in one, I highly recommend it.

Good luck.

if your new to the field, i would not recomend it.
If your experienced, but lazy wan't a cool toy, and have the money, definatly go for it.

Are you crazy?? It's BEST for beginners. It's self-automated and controls parameters for growing cakes that can easily be messed up by us newbies. I would say exactly the opposite...if you're a veteran and prefer growing cakes with your own methods that work for you then why bother investing? No disrespect Shaw...but the Pod is EXCELLENT for beginners.

Nope...that's the gist of it. Of course the Pod simply creates a stable and ideal environment for fruiting cakes. If you screwed up your substrates before birthing them there's no gaurantees that you'll have an Eden. My grow's a good example of that...I'm starting to wonder if I did something wrong with my substrates cause I'm growing Mazatapecs...according to the spore vendor websites they should be "prolific pinners and abundant, large fruits" and so far I have VERY slow growing, minimal pins on my cakes. My grand wet total harvested so far has been 88.5 grams. And on average I'm only getting between 5-6 pins per cake. I've only had two aborts so far...so that at least is very encouraging. I just hope I didn't mess up my cakes some how when I made my substrate. They colonized very aggressively, which is listed as a characteristic of Mazatapecs...so at least that much I've found to be true. Still waiting to see these pins grow faster though...*shrug*

Love & Light,

Boppity

undoubtedly, it's a great system, But I still think the newbies should get one harvest before they invest alot of money. That's why pf tek is so great. It's a cheap start. I don't care how fool proof it is, if you havn't had that first harvest, I wouldn't invest that much money. This is just my openion though.
