sounds like you got your name thrown in the FBI bin. Only way for sure, is to practice your right as a citizen, and contact the FBI and find out.

I am posting this reply to malibu and any interested parties. Malibu contacted me via PM and asked my opinion on his situation. this is my response to him on PM. I am posting it here for any one else who may have had or will have a similar situation in the future. if any one here does in fact work with or KNOWS info regarding customs then by all means correct any mistakes I make. These are my opinions based on my experience and job placement.

here is the PM

First of all as the great prophet doug adams said "DONT PANIC". You are correct, spores are not illegal unless you live in CA. If a customs agent opened anything and RESEALED it up then you are fine. Otherwise they would not have sent it on. Customs is not part of the mail. They are a separate entity. when we send anything or recieve anything from foreign countries customs can inspect the package if it is a violation or may be. The fact that they resealed it shows (me at least) that they checked it and found it legal and or harmless. And I doubt the ATF is going to start watching your house for 3 spores prints when it is a fact that millions of dollars in cocaine are smuggled into the country on a daily basis.

And your friend also needs to calm down. even if the near impossible odds are that they are watching you, they still need a court appointed warrant to search your house. They cannot just search all your friends because you have drugs.

And just to put you at ease even more if your mail carrier thought that it was illegal or harmful they WOULD NOT deliver it. So relax. your mail carrier doesnt care what you get in the mail. he wants to get paid and go home.
