Florida Cubensis - two different strains? *PICS*
    #724238 - 07/05/02 06:47 AM (21 years, 2 months ago)

Firs off I apologize for my blurry pics, my camera isnt good at close up....

I brought home a cow pie last week that had some cubies on it, and since then it has sprung up some more mushrooms, cubes.

Funny thing is, the shroom(s) on the left side of the pie look different from the ones growing on the other side of it, the pics are below.

The shroom on the left in the first pic is shiny and darker golden brown, with no flecks of white or anything on the cap, and the gills are dark as usual.

The smaller shroom on the right has gills that are very light, they are sporeless it looks like, and the cap isnt as rounded, and not as golden brown, and also has bits of white on the cap, flecks of it that I have seen in some grow pictures.

My question is, are these two different strains? They both stain blue and are definately cubes....what do you think?

same mushroom strains will look different grown under differnt conditions. One was more in the sun, one had a higher humidity cuz of grass or somthing. ect....

Could very likely be different strains. No good way to tell.
