BlueFoot Questions...
    #7240473 - 07/30/07 04:17 PM (16 years, 7 months ago)

Can somebody post some pics of bluefoot habitat, like a wide angle view? The only thing I can turn up in the search is an ascii art pic of a habitat. Also, am i wasting my time hunting around lakes? Should I be concentrating more on the rivers? Thanks.

you want to be looking along rivers and streams in flood plain areas with alot of log jams and stick debris washed up by flooding under sycamore and box elder trees(any trees that can stand repeated fooding conditions).ground foliage should consist of jewelweed, stinging thistle, and japanese knotweed.it's too late in the year to find them.:igor:

eh, a lot of the posts in the search engine came up with a season from about may - late august, early September, and stated that especially warm months are good. Any thoughts on this Coon? Just trying to get some facts straight so that I can find these little blue devils. You have any habitat shots?

if this plant is a part of the ground foliage they probably wont be found.

Why is that? I've never heard of using plants to find shrooms

Great info...I found the shroomydan post that RandomHero linked to be very informative.  And coon's additions have been very enlightening too. Thanks for the tips. I know where to start now.
