What casing ingredients are best for a newbie?

Hey all,

I was wondering what casing layer ingredients are best/easyest for a newbie? Are certain ones like cow crap harder to work with? Is a strain verm casing bad?
Where can u get peat moss, cow shit, coco-coir etc. I heard on a few threads that you cant use store baught manuer, this true? Why?

cow crap is NOT a casing ingredient.

50/50+ casing works pretty well, but also does vermiculite casing.

Is 50/50 2 set ingredients or can it be half/half of any ingredients?

Try using Jiffy Mix(wal-mart?).. Verm/Peat Moss with a little bit of Lime to properly balance pH levels.

Can horse-poo be aquired at a gardening store or must i visit a farmer? I was thinkin of trying Road's horse poo casing tek, looks easy enough. Any problems with horse poo for a 1st time caser?

Im gonna try the jiffy mix next. I used straight verm before, without success, but that was do to me not having the right temp and humidity...and fanning...and everything else you can think of.
Fd3000.....yeah, you gotta go to a farmer, stable, or something to that effect.
I did that for one of my casings....it's kinda funny to ask for poo. I guess you could say dung to be proper.
BTW: Road's probably gonna get annoyed if we keep calling the horse poo tek his.
