Pinning time quandry.

About a week ago i cased 3 fully colonized PF jars(1/2 pint widemouth, synthetic filter disk, sterile) (EQ Strain/Ralphster44 Syr., cruble&case) into a verm/verm casing, in my aquarium setup. (never failed me before). The mycellium colonized almost to the point of overlay in 2 days (typical EQ strain) touched over a few spots (moist verm, very thin, i'm babbling now.. anyway). i cold shocked via adding two zip-lock freezer bags full of ice (on both sides of casing tray) for 14hours. hygrometer low temp alarm set @ 73.0F (never tripped). left filtered fan and light (set low) running for curculation and to maintain humidity. (i'm in florida, high RH is NO problem.) removed the ice packs, no cyanosis (bluing) noted in the casing. i allowed the aquarium to return to 85.0F/92%RH.

NOW... MY QUESTION IS.... i have not yet seen any pin formation what so ever. The casing still looks healthy and is not showing any signs of contamination or overlay (*knock-on-wood*). It has been a few days longer than i'm used to waiting for EQ to pin after shocking (but.. it is also my first ralphster44 syringe as well). I'm still going to leave my setup running (i'm probably just being impatient) but i was hoping to see what (if any) sugestions i might get to help me get my pins up and growing before my mycellium burns all the nutrients in the casing prior to maturity. abhorts are great, but i'm not founding smurf village again.

I'm new to the board but I am not new to the cause. You have too much Co2 in your aquarium. You need more air circulation. Try fanning it out with a piece of cardboard or something. I hope this will help.
