Marsofold's extraction tech

Been going through a few different extraction techs and such for smokable DMT, trying to do my homework before I start screwing around with making the stuff.
Marsofold's tech assumes that you're using a pound of mimosa hostilis root bark. Let's just say, I don't have the desire to order that much damn MHRB, especially not for my first time cooking this stuff up.
I'm assuming it won't be as simple as scaling back my other ingredients back by 50% as well, so, I go to you lovely people for advice. If I only use half as much MHRB as the tech calls for, what other amounts get affected?

Actually you probably would just have to change the ratios of the chemicals you are using in accordance with the amount of MHRB you are using.

So it is as simple as reducing my amount of ammonia, lye, naptha and all that down by 50%? I figured there'd be more to it than that.

I dont think you need to measure your ammonia cause its just for washing the final product.
And have you checked out the straight to base teks? They are even easier then Marsofold and have shown to yield higher.

I haven't checked those out, a quick search didn't turn up much, though. What's the straight to base all about?

Basically the straight to base is just that. Instead of doing the acid defat you just got straight to basification.
http://www.dmt-nexus.com/ then go to the forums and click on Extraction teks.
You can either look down the list of posts cause its only two pages or you can search for:
The Lazy Mans Guide to Extracting MHRB (2+ hrs to smokeable)
DMT Quicktek - Mimosa H. Root Bark Extraction by Vortex
Noman's MHRB Extraction - as Edited by Zhah
I myself have done Nomans which worked perfectly.
