Life as a journey
    #7222340 - 07/25/07 01:58 PM (16 years, 8 months ago)

I think it would be really fucking cool if one day while walking along with a friend on the way to a bar or something, he pulls you into an alleyway and he says to you:

This part of your journey is over. You’ve learned all the lessons necessary now to go to the next level.

And you’re just like WHAT???

And he opens up a dumpster in the alleyway and there is a swirling vortex in the chest of a dead hobo and he’s like:

This has all been a test, every situation in your life, every person, everything has been part of the test. Don't you remember being a kid and realizing that you were going to need to learn the rules of the game? Well you beat the game! See you on the other side...

I'm fairly sure this is what the afterlife will be like.

That is abstract, but at the same time sensible and meaningful...
I hope its like that, I just haven't developed any beleifs about death, afterlife, religion or anything spiritual.

All this time I've loved you
And never known your face
All this time I've missed you
And searched this human race
Here is true peace
Here my heart knows calm
Safe in your soul
Bathed in your sighs

Maybe part of the test is learning to go easy on ourselves

Ah yes. The dreamy fantasies of humans who cannot bare the life they have created for themselves.:monkeydance:

To be honest I did have this idea during a bad period of my life, but honestly I still think life is very comparable to a lesson, or maybe my mind is simply trained that way from too much schooling

:thumbup:We tend to look for patterns and create meanings. It's just a little thingy our brains do. It may be meaningless.:monkeydance:

I wish to believe there is some hidden sense to it all, some higher spectator...but seems to me we are the spectators of ourselves, hoping that there is someone 'bigger'.I guess that happens because we don't want the responsibility that goes with it.You are the master and you decide when to go to next level.
