Aborting or contam? (Pics)

Well everything was going great until I started noticing a bunch of my growing shrooms started to stall and now, started to turn their once rich, carmel cap into a poopy brown-black!!
First I thought they were aborting, but these were some big frigging pins, and were for sure going to turn into something big. But, seems like they pukered out...im guessing it could be a contam, but it also looks like they just aborted.
Whats do you guys think?

not unusual for big shrooms to outstrip the food supply and abort. those were just about ready to harvest anyway. sometimes a contam resident within the cake will lerk around until the mycelium gets weak, and precipitate abortions. take a good look at the cakes, see that no mold is peaking it's ugly head out. if caught early enough, the mold can sometimes be cut away. when a cake is contamed, it starts to devote all its energy to fighting off the intruder and cannot support shrooms. some contams also act parasiticly upon mycelium with the same result.

Well these guys were off manure...
There are plenty of msurhooms still growing fine as we speak. They were all within a 3-4 inch radius of eatchother, so its possible they ran out of something....
Well I was just stoked cause I was thinking that these guys had at least another few more inches to sprout up...but they just stopped...damnit!

Vato, there was never really a flush cause they all started growing at differnt times, so basically I picked them when they matured. I wonder if that has anything to do with it....
