You can't use PF tek for fruits although you can probably get a cake to colonize. I have only seen that species cultivated outdoors on manure in the spring and fall.

You need to have some sort of sterile enviroment to inoculate from a spore print, preferably onto agar, then onto grain, or cake if you really like it. I have also seen it grow only outdoors, though havnt heard of anyone trying to fruit this spp indoors.

I've been trying to grow these (subfimentaria btw) indoors with no luck.
The "easy" way to do it is the same as for azures, but substituting dung for woodchips.
I planted a small patch this week and am waiting to see what happens....
