Once one of my PF cakes gets 100% can i cut it in seperate pieces and throw the disks into grain jars for super fast inoculation. To me this is kinda like grain to grain I just want to know if it works well.

Sounds like it will work, but why waste your time colonizing PF cakes in the first place if you are planning on using grain?

Because some people like to walk to the car dealership when going to buy a car.
Seriously though, poster, you might do better to stick with one experiment at a time. If you have fully colonized PF jars, why not see it to fruition instead of chancing contaminates again by division.
That being said, yes, although crumbling gives more surface area for the mycelium to reach out.

Keep in mind that inoculating or whatever in front of a flow hood won't help your bad substrate, your bad inoculant, your bad sterile procedure, etc. etc. etc. It's not a +3 flowhood of magic, it's just a tool.

Just to get my feet wet, time to kick it up a notch with some grain and I wanted to bypass using spores. Last time i used spores with my grain it was 100% contam.

no offense, but if you can't keep grains from getting contamed with a syringe, then you're in for a nightmare trying to do G2G. What kind off innoc procedure were you using?
