under three huge mushrooms. What would be the best way to ensure the survival of this tiny fluff of mycelia? it's pretty small and i found it over 24 hours ago and have yet to hook it up..

what works the best?
brf or birdseed? honeywater?
coco fiber or 50/50 casing?

this is basically all i have to work with..

most appreciative.

I'm not too experienced with this kind of stuff. But my guess is you'll have contam problems by adding it to BRF or birdseed. That sample has been in the field and therefore it's not sterile.

If you want to save that strain for further cultivating i'd say you have to do some agar work on it to isolate the mycelium from any contaminates there could be in your sample.

Or perhaps you could spawn some fresh dung with it b/c dung is fairly contam resistant, which i think will not work b/c you say it's only a bit of mycelium (not suficient to spawn a good amount of poo).

Wait for someone with more experience to answer your question. Meanwhile keep it inside a small airtight container in the fridge to ensure it won't dry out (if it does your mycelium will die).

Good Luck
