Any suggestions. The only thing I had to buy was the gloves, $1.69.

very nice.
my only concern are the wood strips on the front. wood is organic, so it CAN harbor contaminants (i believe). maybe its negligible in this case. maybe an old hand can clarify it.
looks nice though. nice and big

looks fine as long as you dont have any openings and it's still air.You shouldnt worry about contams in a glovebox since it should be still air they fall to the ground and that leaves your work contam free for the most part.

Wouldnt moving around in the glove box make the air not still? The wood will be fine as long as its treated

kind of thats why you have to move slowly but still get the work done in a pretty quick amount of time.

Also after looking at the pictures I wonder to myself... Would 4 pieces of velcro make a good enough seal? Maybe try 4 long strips

The wood has been sprayed with polyurethane, about three coats so it should be okay. The velcro was what I had on hand. Much more than that and you tear shit up trying to get the 'glove panel' on and off. I see plexiglass in the future, but what I saw the day I was scheming this wasn't clear enough for the old man to see what he was doing...kinda smoky. I figure for a $1.69 and some stuff I had already it'll do till I get the rest of the stuff I need.

well you certainly cant beat the price and it has plenty of room to work, when you upgrade to plexiglas make sure you invest in some better gloves, those look like they have canvas on them

Well, as long as all the air inside is sterile, it's not a major concern.

I figured moving around would make the air move. Contams are smaller than a dust particle, how much air do you think it would take for them to blow around. If there in the box thats not good. Clean

Maybe you can get some foam tape to put on the spots where there is no velcro, just to seal up the box a little better.

Best way i have found is wipe the bottom of the gb with something like alcohol or bleach and leave it kinda wet this way when you seal the glovebox wait a few seconds for the spores and everything to fall to the ground of the gb and they will stick to the moisture that is on the bottom and they will kinda get stuck.have used this method and a method without cleaning the glovebox at all and both have worked fine.

As I said , I was going to use plexiglass but couldn't find any locally yet that was affordable that I could see through.

Thats a good idea, I wouldnt have though of that. I read a thread a a few days ago with someone looking for a glovebox and there was a picture of a nice one that was actually a dog food storage container on its back.
