Fruiting Cakes Outdoors
    #7209075 - 07/22/07 04:13 AM (17 years, 5 months ago)

So.. I still live with my Parents and shame on me Im 19. haha. Well the only possibility to grow shrooms for me is outdoors.. Is it possible to fruit cakes in a FC outside? might sound like a fucked up idea.. but I was going to set up this sort of tent.. cover the bottom with a later of perlite.. and put the cakes on tinfoil bits.. and cover the whole thing with a big plastic bag... there wont be any sun hitting them since theyll be covered..
I know cubensisb+ are a friendly strain and can grow in mediocre situations. and thats practically the only way I cud grow shrooms outside.. Ill use the hpoo method later on with my future harvests, for now I'd like to start with  a friendlier way .
Any help would be appreciated thanks

Haven't tried B+, but I've heard it's friendly, like you said. I know that Amazonian from Sporeworks is friendly, I've had it work with all kinds of non-optimal conditions.

I think you could build an outdoor FC- but how do you plan to keep the parents from noticing it? And you need some light, you can't use a black bag.
