I have some brown goo in the bottom of a few jars. I'm wondering if it's sticky BRF or could it possibly also be bacteria contamination?

Otherwise, the cakes look great.

Any comments before I open 'em up and smell 'em?

Afoaf actually was in a similar situation. On one of her jars she accidentally packed the substraite in too much and some of it stuck to the bottom when she fliped them. When birthed, she was able to see that the myclium had grown on the stuff stuck to the jar and had made lots and lots of tiny bridges between the cake and the jar. After looking at the it for a while she pealed off the extra layer of growth and the cake has been producing happily since. So, in answer to your question, it could in fact be sticky BRF. I would think that if your myclium is still thriving it's probably not bacteria.
