Brown mycellium using honey tek...is it okay?

Did the honey tek thing as outlined two days ago. Today I've got lots of stringy stuff floating around in the water, which I'm assuming is mycellium, but it's light brown and not white. Is this perhaps just discoloration from the honey or is it bad? I used distilled water and organic honey.

It should be fine... just watch for any funky colored shit forming on the top of the solution.

It may be carmleized honey. If it gets darker i would probobly not use it. It should begine to get whiter over the next day or so. also what color is the honey water itself? clear with a slight yellow/brown tint or is it darker? you may have just used to much honey and that is causeing the discoloration. this happened to me and worked great. that was when i used store bought honey. now i use the free ones they give out at mcdonalds and have no problems. 1 package per 1/2 pint jar. just to be safe you may want to put some H2O2 in there within a day or 2.
