Also, if you ask me people here are confusing the quickening with growing up. It is a well know phenomenon that the older you get, the faster you experience time.

So if the end of the world never happens when were 60 we should be getting ready for bed as soon as we get up? lol......time does seem to be speeding up rather quickly, but maybe it is just the person's own perception.

Yes, but individually growing contributes to the growth of our species as a whole, and all of these different individuals that are taking leaps in all aspects of their lives make up a "quickening" in time perception. And yes, I believe that people are making these leaps NOT just technologically and knowledge-wise, but in all areas of growth.

How do we perceive time? Our perception of time is related to how much time we have experienced.

When you are 1 hour old, an hour is your whole lifetime - it is 'forever' in your perception.

When you are 80 years old, an hour is about 1/700,800 of your lifetime - a pretty short time period.

So if you believe in a "collective unconscious" at all, that would apply to the entire living age of all human beings as well...
Say, all human's lives added up to X amount of hours. The bigger this number, the shorter the time perception is by the species as a whole?
And since this number is probablly larger than ever before in our recorded history, would that not support the theory of our perception of time as a species seeming to "speed up"?

i agree, the quickening, revelations transcend time and space
hmmm sounds like a shroom induced state
