BRF Cakes to dry???
    #7201923 - 07/20/07 10:23 AM (17 years, 5 months ago)

I followed this BRF Recipe I found on abc123.com or something stupid like that. It was per 1/2pt jar 2/3cup Verm 1/3BRF 1/4cup water. I inoculated them and showed growth in a few days but they dont seem to be going any further. They seem to be kinda dry. Is this why. If so should I dunk them in a week and try to birth them.

I use two parts verm, one part BRF, one part water. You've only got 1/4c water to your 1/3c BRF; it could stand to use a bit more water.

Yeah you're going to dunk them before fruiting anyway so if they colonize, there shouldn't be a problem.

How long ago did you inoculate?

Just leave it for a week and then check in. A lot of my jars started slowly.
