Ok, so i got 100% contam on my first try @ rye. I took the jars outside to figure out if they were contam (which they were, with trich) then i preceded to dump them out in the yard, i filled the jars up with an amonia mixture for about 30 min and now they are in the dishwasher running on hot for a couple rounds. Will this work, sadly i just got RR's video and I didnt bother to look on that to learn what he thought of it. Will my tactic do the trick though?

if you're asking if the glass jar is ok....the answer is of course yes some (or rather, myself) don't use anything more than mild dish soap even after contamination..it is glass after all, and doesn't harbor contaminations. now if you're asking if its good to dump contaminations outside? nope, not without provisions its preferred to pressure cook the jar again, for about 20-30 min, to render everything truly dead. once thats done, it should be safe to open. or wear a really good mask... do i do any of these things? nope, but it is proper procedure =)
there have been some ppl made really sick from contaminations not from trich but definitely from other random crap that grows well on grains

no, once whatever is in the jar is out, you dont need to pc just clean and rinse the empty jar, just soap will work for this
im saying, before even opening a contaminated jar to dump it out, you should've pc'd it to KILL the contamination. =( ..so that YOU dont get sick, not your project
and dont spray yourself with lysol, it doesnt sound like it could be good for you =)

As said, it's best to PC the contaminated jars before opening them for cleaning. Even when you go outside, the mold sprores get all over you and your clothing, hair, etc., and then you bring them back into your house to re-enter the food chain with your next project. PC'ing first prevents that problem. RR
