xanax as an MAOI

i was just wondering if anyone out there has ever eatin xanex bars while tripping? are they considered MAOI. if so this would kick ass cause then you just wouldn't have to eat as much shrooms.

I believe that Xanax, being an anti-anxiety medication, would only serve to bring down the trip; not increase the effects.

Though i have yet to experience an trip with any type of MAOI i have combined xanax an valium. This is just something i have experienced while combining either one with acid or mushies. First off unless you have taken way to much for yourself to handle or u are just gettin freaked out for some reason xanax or valium is worthless. The only times i ever taken xanax while trippin is while on very high doses of mushies or acid, reason being instead or losing my shit an not enjoying the over load the xanax or valium will totally relax you an make that feeling of oh shit i took to much away. Now i wouldn't take either benzo's if i was just trippin i only take them while on trips of doses higher then a 7grams mushies or 10 hits good acid. well hope i answered somebodies question peace out.

sorry this has nothing to do with the post, i have never mixed em before but i would say it prolly brings ya down, that is just my guess i have no idea, take vitamin C i hear that makes the trip better, also something i heard, dunno from experience yet..hope that helps. peace

Xanax is not an MAOI it will however bring you or someone who needs it down in a hurry if you take the proper dose. That would be about 1-1.5 mg for an average sized person. MAOI's are drugs like Paxal which are antidepresents and they do work to enhance the trip, or at least they did in my experience.
