Woodchips?

hey guys,
i recently got my hands on a bag of woodchips and was wondering what affect they have on yield. if i was to spawn it with some birdseed, would there be bigger flushes as opposed to casing cakes? any teks u guys know of?

Some woodchips are sprayed with insecticides and other poisons, you better read the bag real good. I'm not sure if woodchips will increase mushrooms yield, since they probably dont have much nutrients.
Don't take my word for it though...

Cubensis, while it will eat and fruit on small wood chips and shavings, does not prefer it. If you're planning on cultivating outdoors, however, they're a great top-layer casing. Helps the patch blend in with its surroundings in a garden.
