Damn awesome pictures. Did you have to place the frogs there, or did you just happen to catch them there?
Are they working out for fly/gnat control?

I forgot and left the light on in my inoculation room last night and found him on the door this morning at 5:00. He was catching bugs drawn to the light. I have some friends that went to the simanar at fungi perfecti and they told me that his grow rooms were full of them and the number of frogs goes up and down depending on the bugs populations. They also said that his ceilings in the grow rooms were green with algae. So, anyway, I grabed the frog and put him in the grow room. He seems happy as a lark still sitting near where I put him. I have been using the sticky strips for fly and fungus nat control but am looking forward to seeing what this little guy does. Im going to probably moving to one of the yellow oyster bags because the nats like them the best.

Biological controls in the mushroom industry are in their infancy (maybe even neo-natal). B. thuringensis isrealiensis fights sciarid flies, but is not widely available. There are other firms selling nematodes for sciarids, IIRC it is applied to composts. The other thing about this product is that it attacks larvae that have already hatched in the growing bed. So it only prevents a population explosion and thus the total loss of crop; however, it still allows the original contamination and a partial loss to bacterial blotch.
When I returned for Penn State I studied insect predators to find a solution. Very few flying insects catch other flying insects. Swallows have long been considered a farmers friend, not only because they are awake from dawn to dusk but because it eats insects and not grain. You'd also be wise to put up lots of bat houses nearby the fruiting building. Here is another possible ally:http://www.coveside.biz/flycatcher-houses.htm
From what I learned at Penn State, so far the most widespread successful avoidance of chemical pesticides is simply running less flushes.

the problem i see with frogs is possible bacteria ect being left by the frogs.
isn't salminela a big problem with reptiles? at the least i would think them fruits would need extra washing right?
some people eat mushrooms raw

could be a possibility put the blocks where the frogs can't arrive. in truth i've never seen a frog so i don't know if they can climb etc etc
another drastic solution could be washing the frog

well, frogs are amphibians and not reptiles. It's doubtful that they'll spread some sort of evil bacteria around.
