The huge salvinorin molecules like to remain as solid waxy material or liquid at higher temperatures than these other psychoactives. It's Logical but not intuitive.

those tricky salvinorin molecules!
salvia seemed to work just fine for me and some friends with a regular old BIC.

There is probably more to it...

the mental state change relates to persisting signals (layers)

the physical state change relates to brownian motion (heat)
salvinorin liquid is plenty hot, salvinorin vapor sears tissue.

getting the salvinorin from the leaf into the brain is a whole nother matter, and salvinorin molecules don't stay in position there very long, and they don't like to move much accross our membranes into blood very fast either.
most of the problem is getting salvinorin into blood at a steady rate of ~5 micrograms per second at less than 38degrees celcius or less than 99 degrees farenheit (without boiling the tissues or introducing acetone - yikes that stuff burns!!!).

ive vaporized salvia leaves very successfully with my vapolution. i put the dial about 3 oclock, almost as hot as it goes. infact its my preferred way because hitting out of a bong sucks.

infact it works so good with a vaporizer i can usually have a journey with 2 or 3 small vapor hits.

it doenst burn my lungs either infact its quite smooth and tastes much better.

peace
