first time with autoclave bags

ok so this is my first time with autoclave bags. i cooked 6lb of BR and divided into two bags. the injection point is only gauze will this be enough? ive herd the bags fill up like a balloon with gas that the myc ive gives off, is this true? help me please....

Do yourself a favor and go buy some canning jars and a pressure cooker.
In the long run it is way cheaper and you will have better results.

doesnt really answer my question.i already have jars, they're all full..... thats why im using bags.

What do you mean gauze ?? Are you talking about the filter patch,if so you would not want to inoculate through it,make a self sealing injector port and inoculate through that,here this may prove useful to you

i recently made the switch to bags, and to be honest, you dont need to make a self healing injector port or anything of the like. just swab an area of the plastic real well, flame needle, cool needle with alcohol, then stab and inoculate.
as for the bags inflating...mine never go 'ballon' status, but they do have produce some internal air =)

that is good to know, and would save a day drying time for silicone. You just cover with a band-aid correct?
