My first ever grow, PF strain. What do you think of the progress in five days?

thats pretty good for 5 days. looks like my "a" strain after 5 days with multispore, but the other strains have been much slower. Id suggest that you let the syringe liquid run down the jar more when inoculating so it doesnt take as long to grow towards the bottom of the jar. thats the slowest part for me.

Yessir Bult, straight from spores101. And deformed, how would I accomplish that task? I feel like in order to do that I would to use quite a bit of solution per injection site. These half pint jars seem to be taller and thinner then average, and the needle doesn't penetrate particularly deep.

i usually just put the needle in, inject a little, than move it to the side a little and inject a little more and it seems like between the two one of them travels farther than the other. its basically a hope and pray thing. then i got an idea.. make a multispore lc, inject it with a lot of lc. I injected 6 jars with spores, and injected an lc, than 6 days later injected a couple new jars with the lc and its been 13 days for the first batch of jars which are almost done, and 7 days for the lc jars and they are all 100%

That's really nice for five days but you should include details. I know, you're just showing off your success, but we'd like to know how much juice, how warm, etc.
Again, nice job.

I'd say I averaged about 1.5ml per jar. If there was one thing in my first grow that I didn't get exactly right, it was getting precisely the same amount into each injection point. I find it hard to both watch the solution flow into the jar, and to watch the syringe at the same time to see how much is being injected. I keep the jars in my closet, which is just slightly warmer then the rest of my house, maybe 74ish I'd say. I did five jars altogether, they all look similar to those at the moment, no contams, and I didn't use a pressure cooker, but steamed for a good 90. I did follow sterility pretty darn strictly, and it seems to have payed off.
I don't know exactly where would be best to take it from here. Being my first grow, I of course planned on just fruiting the cakes in a small terrarium (which I have supplies for), however, I want as much yield as possible from this, so if there is a fruiting method that would produce more yield then cakes, and would be feasible for someone to do on their first grow, I might consider giving it a shot. Any suggestions?

Nice work. Those jars look sweet. I did 3 PF cakes on my first grow and cased 'em with 50/50(peat/verm) for the hell of it. I got a really nice yield and no contams. Might be worth it, but up to you dude.

I'd take at least one jar and crumble the cake from it, spawn it to coir, and use RR's wax paper tek. You pretty much can't screw that up as far as I can tell. If you used a small container to spawn to, it would be on such a small scale that it wouldn't matter much if you did screw it up, and you'd get a mini- crash course in bulk substrates. You would most likely get many more mushrooms from it, without much more effort. You might even be able to fit everything in the same terrarium setup.
Unless someone can think of a better idea...

Do you have a link to RR's tek? I searched a bit and could find anything.

For anyone out there that has tried the wax paper, or RR of course, I wasn't quite sure what I was reading, does the wax paper go across the top of the container, or does it lay directly on the substrate?

That seems to be more geared towards using horse manure, and RR also says it's overkill if you are putting it a terrarium, which I would do. My question is, since this is my first grow, do you think it would be ok to crumble just one jar, do verm on the bottom, substrate, and just plain verm casing on the top, and then the rest I would just do as cakes? Also, here is an update, 7 days from inoculation.
