wal-mart does to have canning jars,And has brown rice you can use a coffee grinder to make it into a flour.verm is kinda hard to find try lowes or nurseries.

The wal-mart near me didn't have the right sized jars, either. Grocery stores should have them near canning/jelly stuff. That's where I got mine. Call ahead and ask to save yourself the trip. I got verm and perlite at the local garden center. Again, I would call ahead first just to make sure. Even ask them to hold it for you at customer service so you don't have to search for it!

Oh and I got BRF from Whole Foods (it's a natural/organic grocery store). Anywhere that carries stuff for gluten-free diets should have it.

little update:
i found some verm. at lowes, but still have yet to find the fluir and jars.
i have found rye and other organic flour. will rye work the same or does it have to be brown rice?
as far as jars go IVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE...no one has anything that even resembles the jar i need. the closet thing i found was a 13 ounce jelly jar. would it be okay if i got those and emptied out the jelly, then used that?
i found a lot of jars but most have a tapered mouth so it would be impossible to pull the cake out.

Don't buy jelly just for the jar... there's gotta be canning jars in your city.
Look in the yellow pages for craft supply stores, or Wal-Mart type box stores and phone a bunch of places. Ask if they stock 1/2 pint shoulderless jars. They aren't terribly uncommon; even a lot of grocery stores have them.
If you have a medium-to-large bulk food store in your town I'm sure they'll have BRF. If not, get some brown rice and a coffee grinder. If you cannot find brown rice, then god help you

BRF is also commonly available at health food stores if you don't feel like grinding your own.

Check out supermarkets for the jars. Those were the hardest to find during my first grow. If you live in an area that has a "super" supermarket check it out, they should have them.

I know big lots had 1/2 pint jars (not sure if they are shouldered/shouldered though) but my super walmart has everything you need, BR, Verm, Perlite, and tubs. But i bought mine from a shroomery sponsor out of laziness

Sometimes people don't have a credit card/don't trust sending their hard earned money in envelopes across the nation. Everything can be found in local stores, it just may take some driving/searching/calling. But if you do have a card... use the sponsor list www.shroomery.org/sponsors.php

Dishwasher safe tupperware will work for jars. Very easy to punch holes in the top with an awl or nail. Lowe's usually carries vermiculite. It is also used in gas fireplaces so you might ask at a store that sells that kind of stuff.
