i waited too long to stick trays in fruiting chamber, too bad for me?

i was neglectful and let (way!!) too much mycelium up through my casing. i put them in the fruiting chamber, but is it too late?

one tray was about 50% colonized.
the other a little bit more...

anything i can do to fix this?

pictures? if you have overlay you can probally just scratch the surface with a fork. As long as its not contaminated im sure you can fix any problem, we just need some good pictures and more details.

No don't worry about it they should do just fine, if not more so.. I had better results with a little over than a little under colonized.

For real 50% isn't doomed. Really depends on how rizomorphic the strain is. I know with Hawaiians i can only incubate for 2 days after casing or rizos will take over the whole casing ultimately resulting in Over lay( somatic). But for real it doesn't sound so bad, Too bad no pics. Easier to diagnose. What did you use in your casing layer?
