Nutes in water?
    #7188411 - 07/17/07 02:17 PM (17 years, 6 months ago)

I was wondering if anyone has ever experimented with adding nutrients into the water you mist with. Granted the ph isn't too high, wouldn't this be a great way to feed cakes a little more?

misting what?

if what you're misting something that is 100% colonized it wouldn't matter, its done.

Misting rolled pf cakes. The way I see it, during fruiting, the myc is consuming water and nutrients to put out fruits. Hence the occasional mist to dampen the casing material. So it may be beneficial to add some nutrients into the water?

no it wouldnt. The myc are done consuming nutrients once colonization is over. Like the guy above me said, you're just opening the door for contams since the nutrients would go untouched by the myc.

yeah i kinda thoroughly thought this through a few days ago when i found a bottle of centrum performance in my trunk, i ended up putting it in with a brf mix and injected with lc and they are showing great growth. Id suggest if you mess with nutrients you do it before you pressure cook/steam.

Centrum performance - lol. That'd make an awesome commercial. Would love to hear the end results of that.

Yea people have thought this up before and allot of em had contamed grows since you just made a breeding ground for bacteria and mold.
