hpoo and straw

could I inoculate a bag of pasteurized shit and straw with a colonized lc rather then a jar of grain...and how come I never see anything about using using brown rice as a casing or to use as a bulk substrate spawn?

You might be able to but probably not well at least not with cubes ime.people spawn pf tek style cakes all the time to bulk subs.

1. No you cant. It will Take to long and if you say "ya well ill just add more lc." Then you will throw off the water content and mess it up.

2. casing layer should be non nutritious.

oooo OK people do do that I seen em layed sideways and then throw a casing layer over it or take a cake and shred it with a cheese grader then mix in with your sub.Another one they put it in a blender with a little water and made a super thick lc that would work well for outside.
