do Interupted/inconsistent light cycles effect growth?

Say an FC on 12/12 was exposed to a couple hours light on the off cycle? What if its not on 12/12 but really 13/11, 08/16 etc.? When growing (flowering) plants this type of thing can really mess things up. Would this be true of mushrooms also?

Light is only a pinning trigger and to tell them what way to go they only need the trigger once to start fruiting and dont need to be kept in fruiting light cycles.

I have had grows sit with the light on 24 hrs a day and sometimes in near darkness for days on end,If I'm home I will usually leave the lights on.....and sometimes I'm home forever, than I will leave on occasion and turn it off I sometimes forget to turn it on when I return,I see no real difference in pattern of growth to tell you the truth

only for direction if they have already started pinning. I personally dont mind eating shrooms that have grown in multiple direction. i guess them all growing straight up gives you better looking pictures.

really? so i can just give them light for about a week, when they start pinning i can stop? but would it get badly crowded in a way that would negatively affect its growth, or not really a big deal?

light is needed.... 12 on 12 off for proper pin head initiation anything less could reduce pins heads on the cased/uncased surface. Also fyi primordia forms in the dark periods.
