Air Exchange Questions

Fruiting Chambers need constant air exchange so I have the understanding that I must fan my FC 2-4 times a day every day. Not that I wouldnt mind doing this but isnt there a great risk for contamination doing this? Is there another way to do it that would lower the contamination risk or am I just worried over nothing?

are you casing? if they're just cakes its not really a problem if the substrate is 100% colonized. I've seen fc with just a bunch of holes work completely fine.

Im doing Bulk Straw and casing it, I am also using a cool mist for humidity along with air exchange but I am using one cool mist per 2 tubs and am figured co2 levels might build up. I dont even mind fanning I just am scared shitless of contams and would rather rid up a computer fan to some pvc with some type of filter disc blowing in fresh air and another fan blowing out co2 from the bottom.

Do it by hand, but not until it's time for fruiting. If it's colonizing now, you want low air exchange and high CO2 levels. RR

Dont case the straw...its just not worth it....
I mean if your afraid of poor pinsets, dont be because straw lays an even pinset either way...most the times;)
Oh and like RR said hook up the cool mist when its 100% done colonizing the straw

so best way to do it is manually? I had no idea that high co2 was good during fruiting ... i have a co2 tank that I used on my planted aquarium, would it help colinize faster if I kept the Co2 levels high via a tank?

NO..no you got it wrong;)
After you spawn the grains to your bulk substrate you want low fae and no light and high Co2
When your ready to fruit it hook it up to your cool-mist and give them 12/12 light and that will hopefully trigger pinning
