First Flush / EQ's 2 jars Coco Coir / 38g wet

Hey guys, I just finished cutting off all my little guys. I hope I chose the right time, The veils had lowered, and gills looked a little open. I cut them as close to the bottoms as possible. Ended up with like 30 3in high guys, that weighed to 38g wet. There were a few that didn't look ready to go, so I left them alone. I just wondering if this is decent for a first timer, first flush with EQ's. Also is there anything I need to do in order for the 2nd flush, or just wait and the little pin guys will start growing up. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right. Also I placed the babies in MOE's lazy ass dryer. None were fatties so I didn't split them or anything. Ohh what about the pins that are soo tiny and don't seem to be growing, do I just let them be?
Thanks Squeeky

If only you had layered the cakes in compost, then cased with coir after full colonization of the compost... You'd have 200 grams!

Wow, I thought 38g wet was kinda small. Maybe I'm wrong. Well if you to know what I did, I followed the basics nothing really special. Had 10 jars, to 1 syringe from TLG. used tall 1/2pint jars, boiled innoculated on 5/20. Kept in tupperware and used heating pad, with towel (plan to upgrade to aq heater). Waited till fully colonized, dated. Once colonized for a week. I took the first 2 and broke them up, had a bottom layer of coir, and top layer of coir. Didn't see any mycelium for about a week, so I notice that my top layer was a little thick, I scrapped off some untill I could see from mycelium, and placed in fruiting chamber. About 2 weeks later, (ie this morning) I have about 30 3in high babies. The veils had fallen, so I used an exacto knife and cut off as close to casing as I could. That how I did it and I'm sticking to it. Any other questions let you know, you guys have kicked ass for me and I want to be here for other newbies as well.
Thanks Squeeky

Perhaps I am wrong, since I have only done a few casings... but when I tried my first casing, I cut the shrooms off just like you, and had a very very weak second flush... since I have been just twisting and pulling the shrooms off, and patching the holes they made with some more casing, and the second flushes since then have been just as good as the first.

Don't cut down your shrooms! Twist and pull at the same time. Cutting them down may cause the stumps to rot thereby inviting contams thereby jeopordizing more flushes.
Congrats on your success though! Woohoo!!!
