quick question?

my friend owns a hydrapod, and his pr cakes are fruiting quite well. one thing though, they are only pinning at the bottom of the cake where it touches the geolite. why is this? is it improper lighting?

the cakes are pinning from the bottom because that's where there is an excess of water- higher levels of water content=more pins.

The cakes will do that, too, if you have vermiculite on your cakes...such as a double-ended casing.
