My dad intercepted my syringe in the mail. He put it in his drawer. My friend came over. We got the syringe of Z-Strain. Innoculated 10 jars. 2 are growing after about 2 weeks. I don't thnk we shook it up. Could i transplant mycelium from the two into the other 8? If yes, .... how? THanks for the help. -stan

it can be done. if its rye grain its easy if its a cake its a little harder. you need a flow hood but if you dont have one the oven tek might work, but you need your work area to be super clean, i mean ceiling, walls ,floor, air. take a shower get into freshly laundred cloths, clean your hands with germ-x.....or wear gloves and where something over your face to keep contams at bay. i use panty hose around my head cause of my bear and dreads then i wrap a doorag over my face like a bank robber...dont let people see you it looks sketchie. use a very generous amont of lysol all over your work area. now im assuming your using a cake cause if you were using grain you would just dump 2 tbls of colonized grain in to another jar filled with grain. so take your colonized cake, and a sterial knife and cut a piece out and quickly put it in the jar you want to transfer it to and close it. thats what id suggest, also if you just wait a little bit once you grow your shrooms take a spore print and you wont have to grain to grain...cake to cake transfer...

Ouch dad intercepted the mail and kept it at one point? He has to know something is up. Also I hope you didn't pay $85 for the z-strain.

I have a cat. My cat is black. My sister has a dog. My cat eat mushrooms, my systers dog don't.
WTF !!! Somebody has to make that first thread with bigger fonts or something. BTW I and I, mycellium tranfers can be done from any colonized material to any other colonizable material, it's not bounded to the same kind.

You're thinking right, you can use pint jars for grain, the water:grain ratio is normally 1:1 and you can surely use pond or spring water, better yet you can mix the compost with water and then use that water in the jars, it will be rich in nutrients. Try going to the grow/find section and search for a grain tek, there are plenty. BTW, this forum has the intention to deal with advanced cultivation, this kind of questions should be in mush cult not here. This guy I and I PM me telling me not flame people and calling me a retard, well buddie you are the retard, 98% of my posts are helping posts, i usually don't flame people in this boards, the problem is that ADVANCED is ADVANCED and this kind of questions are not to be reported here, if you carefully read most of the threads in this forum and specially the FIRST THREAD you'll see what i mean, since you are a newbie you should be careful with whom and how you comunicate. I know people is eager to learn, sometimes they learn the hard way, the less you read the more chances you'll have to fail, most of the question on cult forum are on the faq or on the grow/find section, people don't read, don't learn and go thru the easy way wich is simply asking , that's why cult forum is flooded with repetitive questions, that's why mods put a first thread asking people to READ FIRST and then post, advanced cult is starting to suffer from the same thing, if any newbie wants to make a question PLEASE MAKE but in its respective forum.
