hi there
well guys, yet ANOTHER set of birdseed jars has gone down the drain i am sooooo pissed of with this! The just seem to clump toghether! I have had success loads of times with the basic pf tek, and have grown lots of diffrent strains, so i think ive got the hang of it but vermiculite is expensive compared to grain over here (northern ireland) and i wana do some bulk.

The grain i have here beside me is:

1.Organic Long grain brown rice

2.Organic millet

3. Pet food store quality groats

4.Pet food store quality "bombay depurative"
which contains millet, oats, etc

Can ANYONE help me?
Has anyone sucessfully used these grains and if so could they tell me the tek
they used? Id REALLY appreciate it guys, as i want to do a big monster batch of shroomies for august

Thanx loads for ur help in the past too dudes!

Use "bombay depurative" with this

adjust water so that the grain gets shakeable, shake immediately after the pressure has settled, while still very hot.

Then again after inoculation.

hey thanx for replying so fast anno dude ill definately keep u up with how it goes, and ill post pics etc but tell me this, is it possible that this food has fungicides in it? i havent used the tek u gave me before but others i have tried didnt even give me any sign of mecelium growth AT all. I hope my birdseed isnt shit dude

oops nearly forgot, can i innoculate with a syringe or does it take a direct mycelium transfer, as im not too sure about it! :O

The fungicides used in grain farming are not ment for the destruction of higher fungi, but are selective to hinder the growth of molds.
Besides, the contentrations shouldn?t be that high if the grain is ment for human consumption or animal feed.

You can inoculate with a syringe, sure.
