I'm from so cal... You don't really need heaters, unless your ambient (room temp) is less than whatever temp you find optimum (I've found 80-85 ideal). As for the holes... if you can keep the humidity up with them open then I don't see why you should seal them. But if you have contamination problems then seal away! Happy Harvests :biggrin:

Usually i find that if you have any holes, usually it is best to cover them up, unless they are near the bottom, because then they might do you some good. (Drain Carbon Dioxide!)
If you are using perlite then don't worry about it.

You need to keep your terarium at between 80-86 like the other replies said. As far as the holes, usually contamination is a problem. Gas exchange is beneficial in the colonizing, casing and fruiting periods, so you can plug holes with filter fleece (buy a furnace filter) or cotton swabs, either works pretty well. Lightly soaking the cotton swab in alcohol helps if you are experiencing serious contamination problems.
