Contam worries...

Ok, I did my first casing, and picked the first flush. Then I trashed the casing cause there was some cobweb mold on the top.
This was only apparent about a day before picking them.
Afterward picking the shrooms (before tossing the casing), I scraped off the top layer of vermiculite, which i used for casing, and it was only a thin layer on top that may have been cobweb mold. I cut the cake apart, and the mycelium was nice and white with no contams. Are the shrooms ok to eat?

Id say they would be ok, because yes cobweb usually only attacks the top layer of casing.
