 Poo leeching idea Shoot me down!

So i have an idea, now tell my why it wont work.
I want to make like a lobster crate covered in screen to put my poo in to leave it in the river overnight as a way to leech the poo faster, I figuer with the water flow of the river it will wash the urin and bad stuff out of the poo but will it also wash out to much of the nutrients?

It could work. Try it out. This is kind of off topic but if you're worried about the environment at all excess nutrients from manure/fertilizers can damage aquatic ecosystems. Sorry that kinda hijacked your thread. If you're not worried about that go for it, if you are then just use the hose.
I don't see why it wouldn't work though.
